“This was a great morning hike. The driver, Carl, was expert at negotiating the narrow streets through Vidigal to drop us off at the trail head. Our hiking guide, Thalles, was great at taking us on the hike up the mountain. Our guide pointed out different views and neighborhoods along the way and some of the animals that we encountered-mainly monkeys and lizards. The trail was completely empty in the morning and we had the peak to ourselves. The view from the top was amazing. I have been to Rio many times and this was my first hike to the top of Dois Irmaos.
