We were told by our first guide after pick up that we were extremely unlikely to see jaguars on this tour, and unfortunately he was right. He said other tours at Porto Jofre were almost guaranteed to see jaguars but they were not suitable for my parents. The tour started very stressfully after an admin error by their office but it was sorted within a few hours thankfully.”

We took a boat out to the jungle site, and then had a 6-7km round trip hike through the jungle with stops to identify medicinal plants, set up traps, demonstrate different ways to make fire, and spot wildlife. We were lucky enough to see a wild armadillo and a toucan. The guides were very professional, came prepared with first aid kits and gear, and were very knowledgeable.
